5 ways to prevent conflicts:

1) Documented Human Resources Manual that all employees should have access to and have annual re-affirmations that they have read and understand all policies in said manual.

2) Written job descriptions and compensation structure for each position including those in senior management positions.

3) A clearly defined corporate reporting structure where all employees can report conflicts to.

4) A clear understanding of all federal and local regulatory guidelines.

5) Management review of internal control procedures at all levels for cash sensitive positions (inflows and outflows).
